The health and wellness of our members and staff is our first priority. While North Carolina still has relatively low number of cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we will be considering the recommendations of the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State of North Carolina moving forward.

This virus is spread mostly through contact from an infected individual and transmitted by coughing and sneezing. Common symptoms include fever, coughing, shortness of breath, and lower respiratory issues. The elderly population is the most susceptible and those with underlying health conditions, and while you all are some of the strongest, healthiest people  around, you are not invincible.

We are currently taking proactive, preventative measures to protect against exposure to the virus within the gym. Please continue to be courteous of all of our members and staff and refrain from coming in with these symptoms. It is imperative that you continue to wash your hands as you enter the gym, and when completing your workout of the day.

Here is a list of things to do to ensure you are keeping best health practices:

  • Disinfecting hands frequently. Please wash your hands thoroughly with soap as soon as you arrive at the gym (before you touch anything)
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces.
  • Avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth. No fist pumps… try virtual high five’s!
  • Avoiding kissing, hugging, and sharing cups and water bottles
  • If you are not feeling well, you are advised to stay home. If you absolutely have to sweat it out, please reach out to us and we will send you a workout you can do at home.

Here is what we are doing:

  • Keeping a constant supply of soap and disinfectant wipes. Signs to remind you to wash hands. Constant reminders throughout class to wipe down equipment.
  • More frequent cleaning of the gym, especially door knobs and surfaces that are touched often.
  • No need to sign in at the iPad. Your coach will sign you in, so that you do not have to touch the shared tablet.

We will keep you updated via e-mail, social media and our website. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
