The opportunity to serve my country, display patriotism and have a positive affect on the world drove me to join the U.S. Army. I was looking for a career that would not only challenge me but have a bigger meaning as well and it is more than what I thought it would be.

The camaraderie I witnessed at #BasicCombatTraining has been motivating and is something I look forward to in my future. I am realizing how many parts make the Army work as a whole.

The most challenging part about BCT was adapting to the atmosphere of high stress and doing nothing right. I struggled at first with the cut off of communication too but in retrospect, I see meaning behind it all.

I’m a 09W – Warrant Officer Candidate and in 10 years I see myself working with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) Recruiting Team as a helicopter pilot.

Looking back at the last 9 weeks I can honestly say that it was a great experience. I learned a lot about myself, working with others and how to prioritize. I am excited to overcome hurdles in my path and see how much I can accomplish.
